Mastering Civility: A Manifesto for the Workplace

Facilitated by Lou Russell

Friday, April 19th, 2019

Join Lou Russell as she discusses Mastering Civility: A Manifesto for the Workplace  (Christine Porath)!

Healthy communication is a cornerstone to a productive workplace, but it is hard to cultivate those behaviors when a workplace is already toxic.  Inspired by the insights from Porath's research into the role of civility in the workplace, Lou will map out how to take the temperature of civility in your office and share takeaways on how to encourage a healthy environment.

Agenda:
  • The High Costs of Incivility and the Potential of Resetting Civility
  • A Civility Checkup: What's Your Play in This?
  • Transitioning Self/Others to Civil Behavior
  • Defending Yourself
