Virtual Table Talks – Book Series CoP (formerly known as the Media Club)

Every 4th Monday of the Month

 Monday, April 27, 2020

6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Join the Table Talks – Book Series Community of Practice for our April meeting. We will continue reading and discussing The Technology Fallacy – How People Are the Real Key to Digital Transformation.

For our meeting, please:

  • Find out more about the book and topic and purchase it here.
  • Read Part III plus the Conclusion: Becoming a Digital Organization (Chapters 11-15; approximately 89 pages)

·       Review the following new resources related to the theme of the book:

o   5 Things You Can Do Right Now to Improve Workplace Digital Literacy
o   Modernization through Digital Transformation
o   Why Digital Transformation Should Begin with Employee Training
o  This PDF:  Digital Transformation Must Be a Priority for Learning Leaders in 2020

·       Come to the meeting to engage in a lively discussion with your thoughts, ideas, feelings, and what you’ve learned so far about how people are the real key to digital transformation.

We are starting a new program along with the new name for this Community of Practice. We are excited to announce a “shared” learning experience for those members attending the Table Talks – Book Series CoP.  The chapter will pay ½ price for your book per session that you attend via a rewards card system. Here’s how it works:

  • If a you attend 1 of 3 sessions, you will be reimbursed for 25% of the book cost.
  • If a you attend 2 of 3 sessions, you will be reimbursed for 50% of the book cost.
  • If a you attend 3 of 3 sessions, you will be reimbursed for 100% of the book cost.

Note: We will read this book and review supplemental material on the topic through the April meeting. It is not necessary you read the whole book or all the chapters by the next meeting; that’s why we provide additional resources for you to review. Read, review, skim, what you can! In May we’ll begin a new book/topic.
