Session Description

In this program, members will be provided an overview of 16 Basic Desires Theory of Human Motivation and how this theory has practical application in the workplace.


As attendees to this program, members will:

1.  Recognize one’s motivators
2.  Identify motivational myths and truths
3.  Explore the possible impact of motivation on group collaboration and or conflict in the workplace

Session Takeaways/Outcomes

Members will be provided with a descriptive summary of each of the sixteen basic human desires and their corresponding 32 values which they can use to begin to increase their motivational intelligence and recognize the likely motivational drives in themselves and others.

About Andy Dix

Andy Dix is President of AD Growth Advisers Inc. an Indianapolis executive and organizational advisory firm specializing in motivational intelligence at work.  Andy was mentored by Prof. Steven Reiss, Ph.D., the founder of The Science of Motivation®, 16 Basic Desires Theory of Human Motivation. Reiss was the creator of the Reiss Motivation Profile®.  Andy is a Certified Reiss Motivation Profile® Master and is also the North American trainer for RMP Masters Certification.  In addition to his professional practice as a Board-Certified Executive Coach, Andy is also the host/producer of the Hopeful Hoosier Podcast®.
